This Cookie Policy explains how Mobile Optima, Inc. ("Tarkie", "we", "us") uses cookies and similar tracking technologies on www.tarkie.com and any sub-domains that link to this notice (collectively, the "site"). It complements—and should be read together with—our Data Privacy Notice. Where a cookie or similar identifier is capable of identifying an individual when combined with other data, we treat it as personal information under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173) and the NPC’s advisory opinions.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your computer or mobile device when you visit it. They allow the Site to recognize your device, remember your preferences, and improve your experience. We also use software development kits (SDKs) in our mobile apps and local storage, pixels, and JavaScript tags that perform functions similar to cookies. We refer to all of these collectively as “cookies”.
2. Why do we use them?

4. Controlling cookies
4.1 Consent banner
On your first visit, we display a banner that lets you:
- "Accept all" (enables every category),
- "Reject non-essential", or
- "Customize" (granular toggles for Analytics, Functionality, and Marketing).
Your choice is stored in cookie_consent_status. We do not pre-tick any optional category. If you clear your browser cache or switch devices, we will show the banner again.
4.2 Browser settings
Most browsers allow you to delete or block cookies and to set preferences for certain websites. See:
- Chrome: Settings > Privacy and security > Cookies and other site data
- Safari: Preferences > Privacy
- Firefox: Options > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data
- Edge: Settings > Cookies and site permissions
Blocking strictly-necessary cookies may break Site functions such as log-in and form submissions.
4.3 Mobile SDK opt-out
For the Tarkie mobile app you can disable Analytics and Marketing identifiers in Settings > Privacy. GPS collection for route optimization can also be toggled there; doing so will disable some field-tracking features.
5. Third-party transfers & international data flows
Analytics and marketing cookies may send limited device or usage data to our service providers' servers in the United States (Mixpanel, SendGrid, Go High Level) or the European Union (MapTiler). Transfers occur under Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards consistent with Sec. 21 RA 10173.
6. Retention and deletion
We retain cookie-derived personal data only for the period shown in the table above, after which it is automatically deleted or anonymized. Aggregate, non-identifiable statistics may be kept longer for service-improvement purposes.
7. Your rights
You have the right to withdraw consent, object to processing, access, correct, or delete personal data obtained via cookies. Submit requests through our Data Subject Rights form or e-mail our DPO (see below).

9. Changes to this Cookie Policy
We may update this notice to reflect legal or operational changes. When we post a material update we will:
- 1. Change the “Last updated” date above, and
- 2. Re-display the consent banner to existing users if required by law.
